UPH Surabaya Campus Law Student Brings Home the Runner Up 2 Title in Cici Jatim 2024.

The Koko Cici East Java (KoCi Jatim) selection event was first held in 2020 and has been conducted annually since then. In its fourth year, the selection for KoCi Jatim has become more stringent compared to previous years.

The criteria for KoCi Jatim 2024 assessment include behavior, talent, and knowledge related to Chinese culture and tourism in East Java.

Chelsea Florencia, an undergraduate law student at UPH Surabaya Campus, participated in the KoCi Jatim 2024 competition and advanced to the Grand Final stage, competing with 9 other Cici finalists.

“There are 10 Koko and 10 Cici prepared for the Grand Final. Chelsea is grateful to have met all of them. All the finalists have fought hard and given their best.”

For Chelsea, the experience from auditions to the three-month quarantine was unforgettable. Not only did she gain new friends and a new environment, but she also benefited from many preparatory classes that were highly useful in maximizing her potential.

“There were many preparatory classes, such as public speaking classes, Chinese culture, and others. From the classes she attended, Chelsea learned a lot,” said Chelsea.

The Grand Final of KoCi Jatim 2024 was held on July 14, 2024, at the Empire Palace Grand Ballroom in Surabaya. During the Talent Show session, Chelsea showcased her talent by dancing. Not only did she impress during the Talent Show session, but her excellent performance in the Q&A session also led her to achieve the title of Runner Up 2 Cici East Java 2024. Chelsea, along with the other winners, will bear the responsibility for the next year of being Cultural, Tourism, and Social Ambassadors of East Java.

Congratulations on the achievement. Keep creating and inspiring!
